Installing Scoby Analytics on Google Tag Manager (Server-side)
Follow this simple guide to integrate Scoby Analytics into your website using Google Tag Manager (Server-side). Special thanks to Markus Baersch for contributing this plugin.
This Tag only works in Google's Server-side Tag Manager
To maintain compliance with European Data Protection Laws our Scoby Analytics can only be operated in the Server-side Google Tag Manager.
Install the Plugin in Google Tag Manager
Create a Scoby Analytics Workspace
Open a new browser tab and log into Google Tag Manager.
Follow the offical instructions to create a Server-Side Container
Open Tag Manager, find the Scoby Analytics Template in Templates > Search Gallery and add it to your workspace.
Grab your Workspace's License Key and enter it into the API Key field in the plugin
Create a proper Secret Salt to anonymize and enter it in the appropriate field
Add a trigger for "All Pages" to start measuring all of your page views in Scoby Analytics
You're all set. Scoby Analytics will start collecting data and your Dashboard will show your visitor statistics shortly.
